Important: Saved changes for a Site Menu may take some time to appear, about 10-15 minutes.

  1. Log into Drupal.

  2. Click on Workbench, then on Menus

  3. Filter for the name of your website section (department) that you want to edit and click Apply.

  4. Click Edit menu on the right side to make changes to a Site Menu.

  5. You will see a list of menu items.

  6. Editing a menu item:

  7. You may Add a link, or Edit an existing link:

    1. To add a new menu item, click the “Add link” button.

    2. If you only need to edit an existing Menu item, click on Edit on the right side.

  8. You will then see a form to you enter information about the menu item. 

  9. Provide a Menu link title, which is what will be displayed.

  10. Type the name of the page in the Link field to autocomplete OR paste a link.

  11. If you want to nest a menu item underneath a parent item, select a Parent link for your menu item (see below).

  12. Click Save to set the Menu item.
    Important: Saved changes for a Site Menu may take some time to appear, about 10-15 minutes.

  13. To adjust a menu item, drag the menu item into the place you want it to fit, and click Save. 

    Drag a menu item up or down to another location.

    Menu items may moved into any place in the menu hierarchy.

  14. Menu Items may also be moved inward, to the right to become a child menu item, underneath of a parent Menu Item. Here, Campus Life menu item was dragged down and inward to the right to become a child item of Resources.

  1. For parent items without a page link, the Link field should be “<nolink>”. This is commonly used for parent items that contain a number of child links.

    Add nolink if you do not want to provide a link.

  2. Click Save.

  3. In your Menu Items list, edit the Menu items you want to be children and set the new Parent link for each child menu item.Image Removed

How to make a Menu item open up in a new window

  1. Edit a Menu item in your menu or Add a new Menu link (see above).

  2. In the Edit menu link form, click on the Attributes section to open it.
