How do I add a link to a website or YouTube video in OnCourse?

Step-by-step guide

  1. Log on to OnCourse and access the course you would like to add the link to.

  2. Locate the green gear icon Press the "Turn editing on" button on the upper right hand side of the main course page.  The Gear icon is located on the upper right hand side of the pageImage RemovedSelect Turn editing on from the drop-down menu.    Click on the drop-down menu to the right of the gear icon and click on the Turn editing on linkImage Removed

  3. In the section where the link should be, click the "Add an activity or resource" link. Click on Add an activity or resource in the section of the course where you want to add the link

  4. Scroll to the bottom of the pop-up window and select URL.Scroll to the bottom of the pop-up window and choose URLImage Removed
  5. Press Add.From the activities window, scroll down and click on URL.  
  6. The page will refresh and bring you to the settings of the URL tool.Image Added

  7. Enter a Name for your link in the "Name" field.

  8. Enter the link to the website or YouTube video in the "External URL" field.

  9. Press Save and return to course.
