What if I have data storage needs that can not be met by any of the listed current University Approved Data Storage Services?

If a user has storage needs that exceed the limitations noted in this document, please send an email to Tracker@fredonia.edu so that ITS can discuss appropriate options.

NOTE: Departments can purchase additional Google storage per the below process at $500.00 per 20GB increments charged annually (June 30-July1) :

  1. Send an email to Tracker@fredonia.edu with the request with the account number to be charged. The department head and respective Vice President will need to approve.

  2. ITS will initiate a journal transfer from the specified departmental account to the ITS funding account.

  3. ITS will purchase the additional from Google and then allocate it to specified accounts. The 20GB increments may be divided among various accounts and departments may submit requests on behalf of their employees.

  4. ITS will resolve the ticket notifying the requested that the additional storage has been allocated.

NOTE: All charges will be prorated based on the date of the approved request and no reimbursements will be provided if employees leave state service during a given year. If an employee does leave state service during a given year, then the department can request that the additional storage be reallocated to existing accounts.
