Tip ** If you need to borrow an iPad from the Service Center, please check that the iPad has the edTPA folder which contains the MoviePro, Photos, and GDrive apps. Also, confirm the MoviePro settings at the time of checkout. It is a good idea to ensure that you can log into FREDsecure and your Google account before leaving the Service Center. Those behind the counter will be able to assist you with all of this.

    3. Make sure to change the resolution to 640x480 on most devices to keep file sizes down

iPad Video Recording Quick Guide

Before Opening MoviePro

  1. Make sure that your iPad is setup to allow MoviePro to save to the iPad’s Camera Roll. Choose Settings -> Privacy -> Photos
  2. Turn access ON for MoviePro
  3. Return to the home screen, select the edTPA folder, and select MoviePro (If you are using a different iPad from an ITS Service Center iPad owned one, then your MoviePro, G Drive, and Google Drive apps may be in different locations. Find MoviePro on your iPad and select it.)

Operating MoviePro

  1. Select Settings
    1. Set Resolution to 640 x 480
    2. Set Video Quality to 75%

       4. Under Recorder Settings, ensure Audio Metering is ON

       5. Under Sharing, save videos to Camera Roll

       6. Click Done

       7. You are now ready to record, press the red button to begin recording. Press the red button again to stop your recording. Once you stop the recording, it will be              saved automatically in Camera Roll.

Editing your iPad Video

If all settings are correct, MoviePro should automatically send all video to the iPad Camera Roll for editing.

  1. From the edTPA folder, select the Photos application
  2. Under Albums, select Camera Roll
  3. Tap on the desired video to select it
  4. Click the settings button in the top right corner (as indicated in the picture by the red box)

       5. Click and drag the arrows at the bottom of the screen to trim either the beginning or the end of the video. Anything within the yellow frame will be the completed video.

        6. Click Done

        7. Click “Save as new clip

        8. Your video has now been trimmed.


Uploading your Video to Google Drive

  1. Go back to your edTPA folder and select GDrive
  2. Click the “+” symbol at the top of the screen and select Google
  3. Enter your email address in full on the new screen that appears and click Next.
  4. Now login with your eServices Username and Password and click Sign In
  5. Click Allow to finish the login process
  6. Select Photo Library -> Camera Roll
  7. Select Edit in the top right corner then select the video you want to upload to Google Drive.
  8. Select “Copy to” at the bottom of the screen
  9. Click on your newly linked Google Drive account and then select a folder you want to save the video to
  10. Select Save.
  11. A progress bar will appear and, once it completes, your video will now be uploaded using GDrive.
