Description
The Thompson Television(TV) studio is used by the Communication Department for teaching courses including television studio production 1, television studio production 2, and TV news.

The use of the Thompson TV studio is for a learning environment to teach Communication Department students how to produce television production, as part of the Communication curriculum.
Business Services
Technical support is provided to the Communication Department instructor(s) assigned the use of the Thompson TV studio for the teaching of their courses.
Technical Services

The Thompson TV studio requires a wide array of equipment to be operational including a sync generator, video format converters, a multiviewer, a waveform/vectorscope, character generators, a video switcher, an audio board, cameras and video recorders.  Servicing the studio requires the ability to synchronize and calibrate video signals, and conduct routine preventative maintenance.

Requirements
Support is provided to Communication Department instructor(s) assigned the use of the Thompson TV studio for the teaching of courses.
Rates / Cost of Use
ITS will provide quotes to the Communication Department for the repair and replacement of equipment in the Thompson TV Studio.  The cost for repair and upkeep of the studio belongs to the Communication Department.
