Drupal: Editing Tables

Add a Table:

  1. To add a table to a web page, click the Table icon in the Drupal toolbar.

  2. Instead of just clicking on the Table icon, click the down arrow to the right of the Table icon to view a grid of rows and columns so that you can choose the cell dimensions of your table.

Add or Remove Table Column(s):

  1. Click on a table cell.

  2. The Table Menu appears above the table.

  3. Click on the Columns tool on the left of the Table menu to see all the operations you can make to a table column.

  4. Choose to Insert Column Left, Insert Column Right or Delete Column with the cell you clicked on in step 1.

Add or Remove Table Row(s):

  1. Click on a table cell.

  2. The Table Menu appears above the table.

  3. Click on the Rows tool in the Table menu that appears.

     

  4. Choose to Insert Row Above, Insert Row Below or Delete row with the cell you clicked on in step 1.

Format a Table:

  1. Click on a table cell.

  2. The Table Menu appears above the table.

  3. Click on the Table Properties icon in the Table Menu to view the Table Properties dialog.

  4. Change any of the table properties and click Save.

Format Text in a Table Cell.

  1. Click on a table cell.

  2. The Table Menu appears above the table.

  3. Click on tne Cell Properties icon in the Table Menu to view the Cell Properties dialog.

  4. To change the horizontal alignment of the text in a cell, choose one of these settings:

  5. To change the vertical alignment of the text in a cell, choose one of these settings:

     

  6. Change any of the cell properties and click Save.

Add a Table Caption:

  1. Click on a table cell.

  2. The Table Menu appears above the table.

     

  3. Click on Table Caption icon to edit the table caption.

     

  4. The Table Caption will appear centered above the table on the published page.
