Cloudflare WARP Client Piloting and Implementation

Cloudflare WARP Client Piloting and Implementation

As part of a collaborative SUNY-wide initiative, SUNY Fredonia is partnering with the SUNY Information Technology Exchange Center (ITEC) to begin piloting the Cloudflare WARP Client for secure access to campus-hosted services—including Banner, OnBase, and Argos.

This transition marks an exciting opportunity to pilot a modern, secure connectivity solution that enhances performance, privacy, and reliability for our campus community. Over the fall 2025 semester, we need volunteers to pilot this solution on laptops and desktops before rolling this out to the rest of the campus sometime tentatively during the spring 2026 semester. We appreciate your support and partnership as we move forward together.

What are the benefits of using the Cloudflare WARP Client?

  • Encrypts your internet traffic for data privacy

  • Guards against threats on public Wi-Fi networks

  • Improves connection speeds via Cloudflare’s global infrastructure

  • Integrates with Cloudflare Zero Trust for advanced security and access control

To become a volunteer, please email security@fredonia.edu. Please note, the pilot users can toggle this on and off at their discretion if they experience any issues. Thank you!
