Embedding a Microsoft Clipchamp Video in FREDLearn
This article walks users through how to share a One Drive video in FREDLearn.
Instructions
Adjusting Your Share Settings
Navigate to and sign into ClipChamp.
Locate the video you want to share in FREDLearn.
Click on the name of the video to open it. Your video will open in a new window.
In the upper right corner of the screen, press the dropdown arrow on the Share button, and select Share.
In the search box, enter the text “Everyone except external users”, and press Send. This shares the video, giving users access to it.
If you need to adjust your sharing rights, press the dropdown arrow and adjust them.
Copying Your Embed Code
To share your video in FREDLearn, navigate back to the upper right corner of the screen, and press the dropdown arrow on the Share button. Select Embed code.
Press the Copy embed code button.
Embedding your Video on a Page in FredLearn
Navigate to the course, and module in which you wish to share your embedded video.
In the module, press the Upload/Create button and select Create a File (Web Page).
The page opens. Give your page a descriptive Title and then press the Insert Stuff button.
Press Enter Embed Code.
On the next screen, enter the embed code you copied from your video in ClipChamp. Press Next.
The next screen is the Preview screen. If you are satisfied with your video. press the Insert button.
Be sure your Title is descriptive and gives the video context. Press Save and Close.
Copying/Pasting the Link for your Video
We recommend copying the link for your video and placing it underneath your embedded video on the FREDLearn Page. This way, if the embedded video doesn’t play, users can press the video link to play the video.
Navigate back to Clipchamp.
Locate the video you have just embedded.
To copy the video link in FREDLearn, navigate back to the upper right corner of the screen, and press the dropdown arrow on the Share button. Select Copy link.
Navigate back to the FREDLearn Page where you’ve embedded your video.
Press the dropdown arrow to the right of the page title. Select Edit HTML (Web Page).
In Edit mode, paste the link to your video, underneath your embedded video. Add the words, “If this video doesn’t play, please press the link.”
Press Save and Close.
In addition to giving your video a descriptive title, use the Page to add context to your video. This may include a background on the subject, why this video is important, and reflection questions.
