- Login to OnCourse
- Access the course by selecting the link from the Courses block
- In the top right-hand corner of the main course page press the "Turn editing on" button
- In the Course Information area click the "Add an activity or resource" link
- From the menu of activities, choose "External tool". The page refreshes and brings you to the settings of the activity.
- Enter a name in the Activity name" field. Suggested name is VIA In Progress Dashboard.
- From the "Preconfigured tool" drop-down menu choose "Automatic, based on tool URL"
- Paste the In Progress URL into the "Tool URL" field
- The In Progress URL is https://www.vialivetext.com/lti/sso/inprogress
- Press the "Save and return to course" button at the bottom of the page
