Dictation (voice typing) is a very useful tool for quickly recording voice to text. This is especially useful for those that cannot control the keyboard to type text due to a physical impairment.

If you use dictation on a PC through Windows and Mac through macOS, please refer to the instructions provided below from Microsoft and Apple.

NOTE: You may need to activate dictation and/or speech recognition in your computer’s settings and a microphone is required. You can use microphone from a webcam or plug in a seperate microphone, if possible.
