Section 1.1: Captions

When you want to publish your video on YouTube, you want to provide captions or subtitles for your viewers. Captions are very beneficial for people who cannot hear and provides text for them to read so they know what is being said in the video. YouTube does create automatic captions for videos in English, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, etc. While YouTube does create automatic captions, they may not be completely accurate. It is always recommended to double check your captions and edit them manually. Keep in mind that longer videos cause YouTube to take longer to create the captions.
