This guide will discuss the Course Activities menu in FREDLearn.

\uD83D\uDCD8 Instructions

The Course Activities menu is found on the top blue bar of the course homepage. 

Clicking on the Course Activities menu will show 7 options:

Course Activities Menu drop down menu. The seven options are assignments, chat, discussions, groups, quizzes, surveys, and video assignment

Assignments

  • The assignments tab shows a table with all assignments available to students in the course.

  • Completed assignments and current assignments will be shown, along with any future assignments that are available to students.

    • Availability and visibility of assignments are set by the instructor.

  • Grades and feedback on assignments can be viewed here.

Discussions

  • The discussions tab is a messaging tab that can be used for many purposes, including discussing an assignment, an ask for help discussion, and more.

  • Discussions can be made by students and instructors.

Groups

Groups can be set by the instructor, and can be used for group or partner projects.

  • When clicking on the group tab, a table with each group will be displayed

  • The Email column will display a small email icon. Clicking on this will show all of the Fredonia email addresses of the people in this group.

The email icon is useful to be able to contact all people within the group through Fredonia email

Quizzes

  • The quizzes tab is similar to the assignments tab, as all quizzes that are available to students,

  • Completed quizzes and current quizzes will be shown, along with any future quizzes that are available to students.

    • Availability and visibility of quizzes are set by the instructor.

  • Grades on quizzes can be viewed here, or through the Grades Tab.

Surveys

  • A table will be displayed each each survey. The table will also show how many responses that have been made at the survey, and how many responses are allowed.

  • Click on the name of the survey to view it individually.

Video Assignment - Fredonia

  • Clicking on the video assignment tab will display a permission message if this is the first time accessing this tab.

  • Check “Do not ask me again for this application” to not see the permissions message again on the current device and browser being used.

  • Then, click continue to go to the video assignments.
