Description

Provide the tools to help users navigate the endless possibilities of the internet by sharing their ideas, documents, schedule, with Gmail contacts.  

Function 1:  Account creation and account administration.

Function 2:  Create resource calendars.

Service Users

Faculty, staff, associates, students, alumni, and guests are users of this service.  Summarily, any Google Apps account holder uses this service.

User Services

Core Google Apps for Education services includes:

Gmail – searchable electronic mail

Drive - create and share documents in one location

Calendar – organize schedule and share with events with users

Docs – open, edit and create documents

Sheets – open, edit and create spreadsheets

Groups – create mailing lists and discussion groups

Sites – create websites and secure group wikis

Business Services

All “Service Users” can expect access to the internet, email, to share documents, personal calendars, and collaborate with their peers and colleagues.

Requirements

The requirement for using this service is to be one or more of the following campus affiliates: Faculty, Staff, Associate, Student, Alumni or Guest.

Rates / Cost of Use

There are no fees associated with using these services.

Getting Started

A user does not have to request access this service.  A manager, sponsor, or resource owner may request for anyone in one of the “Service Users” group.

Availability

This service is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

All requests for assistance are completed using FredQuest

Business Procedures

The business procedure is located with the Primary responsible person on the RACI form and also, see Appendix A.

Change Procedures

Changes to the service (transition, additions, and discontinuations) must be reviewed by TAC and approved by the Service Manager (CIO) and Cabinet.

The following procedures are used for changes to the software, hardware or business procedures.
