EVENTS: How to cancel or postpone an event in Fredonia Events (Localist)

Important:

  • Do NOT Delete or Reject a canceled event.

  • Mark the canceled events in your area so that your event clearly shows it is canceled in all contexts -- on a web page or a campus TV signage display.

Steps to Cancel or Postpone an Event:

  1. Log into Localist at https://events.fredonia.edu

  2. Locate the event that needs to be marked as Canceled.

  3. Click the blue Admin Event Editor button in the right column of event details.

  4. Change the event's Status to "Canceled", "Postponed". You may also use "Sold Out" if needed.

  5. To uncancel an event, set the event's Status back to "Live" to have appear normally.



  6. Add the text “Event cancelled.” to the beginning of the Description text.

  7. Click Save Changes button in the bottom right.

  8. Click the red View Event in the upper right to review your edits in the public view of the event. It should appear similar to the example, below.
