BLUEview Network Management: Resetting Displays and Players
The BLUEview Network displays and players have been installed and configured to play digital signage. All displays are locked to prevent any tampering and should always be powered on. However, there are a few issues that can happen.
If you notice the power is off (black screen):
- Push the power button on the right side panel to turn it back on
- It may require more than one button push until you hear a "click" sound
- The display should power on and show the digital signage after a minute.
If your display is on but the screen is showing:
- “No Internet” message
- “aw, snap!” error message
- Other message or a white screen
- Old events are appearing
- Display is stuck on one slide
Please notify blueview@fredonia.edu with the location of the digital signage display and the problem so we can fix it. Alternately, if you know how to reset the player, you may do so (power cycle).
