Secure Printing With Your Smartphone in FREDprint
iOS Setup
Go to the App Store and search for the Pharos Secure Release App with the yellow torch on top of the grey background
Log into the app with your eServices credentials
To print from your iPhone, you must first install a profile. To start the process, click on “one time setup instructions”
Pharos Secure Release will start downloading the profile necessary for printing. Please allow for the profile to be downloaded when prompted
Once the profile has been downloaded, you can click close and move onto the next steps of installing the profile
When you go into the Settings app on your phone, it should have an entry about Profile Downloaded under your iCloud account information. Click on the Profile Downloaded text.
As installing profiles is a way that phones can be compromised, please ensure that the profile contains the Signed by of mobile-print.beacon.pharos.com before hitting Install in the upper right. If it states anything else, please do not install the profile and use the Remove Downloaded Profile button.
Once the profile has been installed, return to the Pharos Secure Release application and click on “How to submit a job”, to learn how to submit and perform a first test print that finishes configuration.
Once you reach the user name and password, you will need to enter your eServices email address and then paste the App Code that was automatically copied in the previous step into the password line. This is a one-time entering of that code and printing from your phone should not need to re-enter the App Code under normal circumstances.
After initial configuration, you should be able to print from your phone just by selecting the Secure Printer (Cloud) option in the Printer dialog.
Android Setup
